Hello fellow wayfarers!
What a great word, wayfarer. It comes from Hebrew, meaning “a walker, traveler, or one that goes to and fro.” How fitting in relation to a spiritual journey—the whole concept behind The Beacon Road name!
I don’t know what kind of season you’re in right now, or what your relationship with God looks like. Maybe you’ve been struggling with your identity, or had your heart broken, or you’re overwhelmed with finding your life purpose, or there’s family drama no one else can relate to, or you’re mending from past hurt. Maybe you’re just trying to get through the day.
Whatever your story is, you’re invited to bring your whole self here.
God doesn’t cherry pick through our lives, and neither should we. No matter where we’ve been or what we’ve walked through, Jesus invites us to live in the light with Him—free from past sins, burdens, or shame. We are all spiritual wayfarers traversing through this life, and each of us are called in our own unique ways, to walk with Him in the Light.
Only when we know our own darkness well can we be present with the darkness of others. Compassion becomes real when we recognize our shared humanity.
Pema Chodron

The Beacon Road was created as an open letter…
To all the dreamers, deep feelers, observers, the curious. Those prone to overthink, with vivid imaginations, the artists and writers and creatives. Those who find meaning in everything, the passionate, romantic, hopelessly hopeful.
An invitation to anyone that has ever felt lonely, isolated, overwhelmed, confused, lost, weary, or uncertain. Those longing to feel understood, accepted, and offered a glimmer of hope amid the challenges of everyday life.
May this become a space of encouragement, vulnerability, authenticity, connection, and kinship. Where we highlight the real and raw, are free to question, discuss, be challenged, learn, and evolve at our own pace—without getting hung up on differences, but instead allowing those to cultivate heartfelt conversations, new ways of perceiving the world, and ultimately discovering new depths of who God is.
Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28
Whether you’re a spiritual neighbor nearby or you’ve been on a long and arduous journey over many miles—I hope this can be a space where everyone feels welcomed in, invited to sit at a big oak table and rest. Offered a hot beverage, a listening ear, and nourishing Truth to help sustain your soul. With a crackling fire tucked in the corner, a space filled with stories and testimonies, hard and wholesome conversations.
So stay as long as you want, take as much as you need. May you find support and encouragement for the rest of your journey out in the world, to help guide other wayfarers toward our eternal home in Heaven.
I’d like to think you found your way here for a reason, whether by chance or purposefully led to this site. However you ended up here, and wherever you’re going, I’m grateful for a chance to cross paths.
